Depth Image Based Rendering (DIBR)

This video sequence shows the Depth Image Based Rendering (DIBR) approach on a Cafe video sequence. The videos appear in the following order:

  1. The first synthesized video right after applying 3D wrapping shows the black areas (holes) due to disocclusion.

  2. The second synthesized video shows the DIBR after filling the hole by depth map smoothing. You can notice the geometric distortion around the edges and the background.

  3. The third synthesized video shows the DIBR after filling the hole by horizontal in-painting. You can notice the distortion around the edges and the background.

  4. The last synthesized video shows the DIBR after filling the hole by Hierarchical Hole Filling (HHF).
